CNC machining supplier evaluation

Why Choose YJCNC for CNC Machining

We manufacture custom precision components using CNC milling, CNC turning, turn-mill and Swiss-type machining. I review your drawings and requirements to assess process fit, inspection needs and production suitability, so you can compare our capabilities with other suppliers before requesting a quote.

Send us your drawings for a supplier capability review and RFQ.

Compare our capabilities with evidence

A supplier's machine list matters when a part combines different features or when production requirements change. The inventory below gives me several machining routes to evaluate against a component's geometry and order requirements. It also helps reduce the number of process handoffs when a project needs both milling and turning.

Milling for prismatic features

Milling suits features such as flats, slots, pockets and mounting faces. It is the usual route for brackets, housings and mounting plates, and our four-axis and five-axis-listed machines can address multi-sided machined features.

Turning for rotational features

Turning is used for rotational features such as shafts, sleeves and bushings. Components that need both rotational and milled features can be reviewed for a turn-mill machining route or a combined milling-and-turning plan.

Equipment precision as a starting reference

Our listed equipment precision is generally ±0.01 mm for CNC milling, CNC turning and turn-mill machines. Automatic lathes are listed at ±0.02 mm, and screw machines at ±0.05 mm.

These equipment figures are not a guarantee of finished-part tolerance. I assess achievable requirements against the specific design and process.

Match the process to your component

Different features call for different machining approaches. This table is an initial guide only; I confirm suitability against your drawing and order requirements.

Part or feature requirement Processes we can review
Brackets, housings and mounting plates CNC milling
Multi-sided machined features Four-axis or 5-axis CNC machines
Shafts, sleeves and bushings CNC turning
Components with both rotational and milled features Turn-mill machining or a milling-and-turning route
Small precision or slender components Swiss-type machining
Pins and small turned parts Automatic turning
Screws and threaded fasteners Screw machining

Verify dimensions with dedicated inspection equipment

Inspection planning is part of deciding whether a supplier can support a drawing. I use the drawing requirements to determine which inspection methods are appropriate, which clarifies how critical dimensions and features can be checked during evaluation and production.

One coordinate measuring machine supports 3D dimensional and geometric inspection. Five optical measuring systems check profiles, hole positions and dimensions.

Quality systems for relevant supplier requirements

We operate under quality management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100D, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949. Certification applicability depends on the scope of the relevant certificate and the project requirements, so I recommend confirming scope during supplier qualification.

For medical device and aerospace supply chains, this provides a basis for discussing applicable quality controls and documentation expectations. A certification is not a substitute for reviewing your specific requirements.

Reduce supplier selection uncertainty

When comparing machining suppliers, buyers often need to understand process coverage, inspection resources and quality system relevance, not just quoted price. I provide equipment and inspection details to support that evaluation.

Discuss the drawing before choosing a process

A machine list alone cannot show whether a supplier has understood the part. I review designs with you, consider tolerances, material and finish specifications, critical interfaces and order quantities, and identify questions that may affect a quotation.

Support prototypes and repeat orders

We support prototype development, repeat orders and production runs, subject to project requirements. For recurring work, sharing the current drawing revision and order quantities gives me a basis to assess the route and inspection needs for each order.

Send your drawings for a capability review

To request an RFQ, send your part drawings with the information available for your project. I will review it to assess process fit and quotation requirements.

  • Quantity, and whether you expect repeat orders
  • Required material and finish specifications
  • Critical dimensions, tolerances or inspection needs
  • Applicable quality or documentation requirements
  • Any other technical specifications relevant to the order
