Custom CNC Machining

Cast Iron

YJCNC provides drawing-based CNC machining for custom components. For cast iron projects, we can review your part geometry, material specification, tolerances, and inspection requirements to assess a suitable manufacturing approach.

From prototypes and development parts to repeat orders and production runs, our team works with customers to coordinate machining requirements and dimensional verification.

Project-focused support

Machining aligned to your drawing

Each component is reviewed against its specified material, features, tolerances, and intended inspection criteria. Share your drawing and requirements so the project can be evaluated before production.

  • Review of geometry, datums, and critical dimensions
  • Machining process selection based on part requirements
  • Drawing-based dimensional inspection planning

01

Milling

For machined faces, mounting features, pockets, and other drawing-defined geometry, subject to project review.

02

Turning

For suitable rotational features and turned components, with process selection based on the part’s design and requirements.

03

Dimensional verification

Inspection methods are selected to support drawing-based checks of critical dimensions and specified features.

A considered process

From cast component to machined part

Cast iron parts can combine cast surfaces with precision-machined interfaces and features. The required machining sequence depends on the component design, specified material, stock condition, dimensional requirements, and the surfaces identified for machining.

YJCNC reviews customer drawings and technical specifications to understand the component and determine whether its requirements suit the available machining processes. Material grades, tolerances, quantities, and inspection needs should be confirmed as part of the project review.

Design and specification review

Identify the material designation, critical dimensions, datum scheme, surface requirements, and any customer-specific documentation needs.

Process and inspection planning

Consider suitable milling or turning operations alongside the measurement approach needed to verify drawing requirements.

Order requirements

Discuss prototype, repeat-order, or production quantities, with feasibility and delivery planning confirmed for each project.

Manufacturing resources

Machining and inspection capabilities

YJCNC’s equipment inventory includes CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, and turn-mill machines. Inspection resources include coordinate measuring equipment, optical measuring systems, and precision dimensional gauges. Equipment and inspection suitability are confirmed against each part’s requirements.

Quality management

Quality built around requirements

Quality is integrated into YJCNC’s manufacturing operations. The company operates under quality management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100D, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949. Certification applicability is subject to the valid certificate scope and project requirements.

Inspection resources

CMM, optical measurement systems, height instruments, surface roughness testing, hardness testing, and dimensional gauges support inspection planning.

Drawing-based checks

Measurement requirements can be discussed around specified tolerances, critical features, and the documentation requested for the order.

Clear communication through production

Engineering coordination helps align the drawing, material specification, manufacturing plan, and inspection expectations before work proceeds.
