Drawing-specified beryllium copper machining

C175 Beryllium Copper CNC Machining

We manufacture custom CNC-machined components to customer drawings and specifications. Before accepting a C175 project, we review the exact alloy and temper, material availability, machining requirements, occupational health controls, and inspection criteria.

“C175” alone is not a complete purchasing specification. We do not select or substitute a grade or temper without your approval, and we do not promise unverified material performance.

Start with the specification

C175 is not a complete material callout

We confirm the alloy designation and governing material standard before planning production. C17500 and C17510 are distinct alloy designations with different compositions; neither should be assumed from a general reference to “C175.” C17200 is also a separate alloy and is not an interchangeable substitute.

If your drawing specifies a material condition, certification, or source, include it in your RFQ. We will raise apparent conflicts between design requirements and the specified condition for your engineering review.

Material identity

  • Exact alloy designation and applicable material standard
  • Required temper or condition
  • Approved material source and substitution restrictions

Performance & documentation

  • Required mechanical, electrical, or other properties
  • Material certification and traceability requirements
  • Any specified heat treatment or additional processing

We assess the specified material condition against your functional requirements.

We do not infer or guarantee finished-part performance from an alloy name alone. Required properties must be supported by the applicable material specification, condition, and your acceptance criteria.

Machining capabilities

We select the route against the drawing

Our listed equipment includes CNC milling centers, CNC lathes, turn-mill machines, and Swiss-type lathes. Final process suitability and capability must be reviewed against geometry, tolerances, quantity, material condition, and inspection plan.

01

CNC milling

For custom milled features and components.

02

CNC turning

For turned profiles, shafts, sleeves, pins, and bushings.

03

Turn-mill machining

For parts combining turned profiles with milled features.

04

Swiss-type machining

For evaluation of small-diameter and other suitable components.

Connectors Housings & brackets Mounting components Threaded parts

Equipment specifications are not a guarantee of achievable part tolerances. We review final capability against the drawing and project requirements.

Surface quality & inspection

Define finish and acceptance before production

We review critical dimensions, tolerances, features, and surface-finish callouts before selecting a machining route. Please state requirements for roughness, edge condition, burr control, cosmetic appearance, and any post-machining treatment on the drawing or in the project specification.

We establish inspection against your drawing and acceptance criteria. Specific reports, records, and documentation should be agreed during quotation and order review.

Available inspection resources

  • CMM: three-dimensional dimensions and geometric features
  • Optical measurement: profiles, hole positions, and dimensions
  • Dimensional instruments: micrometers, height gauges, and gauges
  • Surface and hardness: roughness and hardness testing equipment
  • Thread verification: thread plug and ring gauges for specified threads

Occupational health & safety

Safety is part of our project evaluation

Machining beryllium-containing alloys requires attention to occupational health and safety. Solid material and machining-generated dust or fine particles do not present the same exposure conditions.

We review the material and process information, potential machining risks, required controls, and applicable workplace health and safety requirements before accepting a C175 project. Cutting, deburring, grinding, polishing, cleaning, and other operations must be evaluated for potential exposure and controlled in accordance with applicable regulations and material safety information.

We do not assume routine controls are sufficient for every operation or jurisdiction. Any required handling, containment, ventilation, cleaning, waste management, or exposure-control measures must be addressed before production. Please share customer EHS requirements, restricted-process requirements, and compliance documentation expectations. Acceptance depends on confirming that necessary controls can be met.

Quality systems

Quality review for custom components

Our quality management systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100D, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949. Certification applicability depends on the project and relevant certification scope, which we can review during supplier qualification.

ISO 9001

Certification scope reviewed for project applicability.

ISO 13485

Certification scope reviewed for project applicability.

AS9100D

Certification scope reviewed for project applicability.

Tell us your required sampling plan, inspection records, material documentation, traceability, and customer-specific quality requirements. We will confirm what can be provided during project review.

Quotation readiness

Is C175 CNC machining a fit for your project?

We can evaluate prototype, repeat-order, and production requirements subject to project scope and process suitability. Clear material identity, component requirements, and acceptance criteria help us assess supply, machining feasibility, risk controls, and inspection needs before quoting.
