Precision CNC Machining

Copper

YJCNC machines copper and copper-alloy components to customer drawings, tolerances, and technical specifications. From electrical contacts and heat-transfer parts to custom turned and milled components, we support prototype development, repeat orders, and production runs.

Why Machine Copper?

Copper is valued for its high electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and ductility. It is widely used in electrical connectors, busbars, heat exchangers, fluid-handling components, and instrumentation parts where reliable conduction and durability matter.

Machining copper requires attention to tool geometry, cutting speeds, chip control, and workholding. YJCNC selects processes and inspection requirements based on the material grade and the function of each part.

  • High Conductivity

Suited to electrical and thermal applications that depend on efficient energy transfer.

  • Corrosion Resistance

Stable performance in humid, marine, and fluid-contact environments.

  • Formability

Good ductility allows complex turned and milled geometries with fine detail.

  • Consistent Repeatability

Controlled processes support stable quality across prototype and repeat orders.

Copper Materials We Machine

Material selection depends on conductivity, machinability, strength, and the operating environment. Final grade is confirmed against your drawing or specification.

Electrolytic Tough Pitch Copper

A common general-purpose grade for electrical conductors, busbars, and thermal components.

Oxygen-Free Copper

Low oxygen content for vacuum, high-reliability electronic, and brazing-sensitive applications.

Free-Machining Copper Alloys

Grades with improved chip breaking for high-volume turned parts, fittings, and connectors.

Processes for Copper Components

We match the machining route to part size, geometry, and volume, from single prototypes to ongoing production.

CNC Turning

Shafts, sleeves, bushings, and rotational copper parts.

CNC Milling

Brackets, busbar features, housings, and multi-face components.

Turn-Mill Machining

Combined turning and milling features in a single setup where practical.

Swiss-Type Machining

Small-diameter, slender copper pins, contacts, and precision connectors.

Quality Verification

Copper parts are checked against drawing dimensions, tolerances, and surface requirements. Inspection methods are agreed during engineering review and can include dimensional gauging, optical measurement, surface roughness testing, and coordinate measurement for complex features.

  • Dimensional Inspection

    Calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges.

  • Optical Measurement

    Profile and hole-position verification.

  • Surface Roughness

Finish checks against specified Ra values.

  • 3D Measurement

    Coordinate measurement for geometric tolerances.
